Our treasurer and violinist with the Beloit Community Orchestra. Kathy is an active volunteer on many Beloit area projects and works with her husband Mike at Thompson's OK Tires
Michael Harbaugh - Vice President
is our Beloit area public music teacher - at the High School and Elementary School. He has developed a state recognized, award winning program and has been instrumental in proving performance groups and solo players at the BAC. Plus he is a great fiddler.
Debra Rundus - KinderMusik
is a certified KinderMusic Instructor with many years of experience teaching young children (infants and toddlers to Pre-K). We are very fortunate to have her come to Beloit to offer her special classes. Please visit her website for more information.
Wyatt Frohling - NCK Jam
heads up the popular monthly Acoustic Jam sessions - the NCK Acoustic Jam. He not only sings and plays guitar but is a retired coach offering physical training at the
NCK Wellness Center. He often plays at the Kettle during Open Mic sessions.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of non-profit Arts Centers. If you have an interests in the arts, please consider offering your time on any special projects or upcoming events.
Sasha Tyson - Violin
Sasha Tyson is our new violin teacher. She graduated from K-State, played in the Salina Symphony and is originally from Beloit. She also is interested in fiddling and playing chamber music. We are very fortunate to have her expertise here in Beloit.
Gary De Kler - Choir Director
Has been a professional musician for 47 years and is retired from his position of Director of Music at the United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel. Prior to his civilian position at the Academy, he was a twenty-year active duty Air Force musician with the USAF Academy Band playing string and electric bass. He has a Master of Fine Arts degree in Choral Conducting from the University of California, Irvine and is a consultant and coach for Roman Catholic Liturgical Music. He and his wife, Emma are members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church here in Beloit where he serves as organist, pianist, and choir director. He is an avid hunter and trap shooter and is a guide at Ringneck Ranch as well as a member of the local Pheasants Forever chapter.
Maddi Sutter - Kids Cafe
owns Olive Juice Restorations and offers creative children and adult classes in Arts and Crafts. She directs the Kid's Summer Art Series through the Kid's Cafe and also does floral designs at Given Grace Floral and Decor.
Waleigh LePon - Resident Artist
local artist, master carpenter and performing musician, he is also an avid videographer and we are hoping to develop some public access video coverage for upcoming events. Some of his works are on display in the Performance Studio Gallery.
Interested in teaching a class at the Beloit Arts Center? Facilities are free for all members. If you have a talent and want to share it with the community, all artists and teachers are welcome. Over night housing for traveling artists giving workshops is also available at no costs.
Andrea LePon - Secretary
teaches beginning dance and is the President of the Beloit Arts Association. You can always find her at Wheat Fields Floral just down the street.
Dr. David Neubert - President
is the Founder of the Beloit Arts Center and Director of Music. He is retired from The University of Texas at Austin and the Austin Symphony Orchestra where he was the Principal Bass. He taught at Wichita State University and performed with the Wichita Symphony from 1978-84. He is also a private pilot, commuting between Austin and Beloit in his Cessna 182.
